As a child, he imagined being on TV! In the summer, he created puppet shows for the neighborhood kids in suburban Chicago with his friend, Dan. And later, Larry Wayne had leading roles in high school and community theatre productions. A bit of the theatrical and creative has always been in his DNA. In fact, after a successful 15 minutes of fame using his voice as a guest teen DJ with the legendary Art Roberts, on “Mid America’s Friendly Giant,” WLS Chicago, (he still has a recording of the program somewhere!) Larry was hooked on radio. After college and being drafted, he was sent to Alaska to use his voice on the Alaskan Forces Radio Network, heard by military men located at 88 different remote sites and Greenland and would become known as Alaska’s version of Adrian Cronauer. Over the course of his decades long career, Larry Wayne became a professional voice talent doing mornings and afternoon drive on a variety of stations. Including ghost hosting afternoon drive for stations in Orlando, Florida and Portland, Oregon. That was in the days long before “uploading” was even a word. From his professional home studio in Eagle River, Alaska, Larry sent reel to reel tapes of his voice to these two stations and it sounded to the audience to be VERY live. His last broadcast experience was with EMF Broadcasting, helping to build the brand new Air 1 network and then onto the nationwide K-LOVE radio network, with an audience of 17 million at the time.,

BEYOND RADIO

It was during those radio years that Larry discovered and fell in love with not only his wife, Dean, of 43 years, but also producing voiceovers to market products and services for a variety of clients. Larry’s professional voice became popular in retail radio/TV advertising. And then being the voice of e learning modules and more recently his voice talent includes narration of audio books (over 45 at last count). As a professional voice over artist, Larry tells stories. Your story. Larry’s golden toned voice overs have encouraged viewers to donate to local charities. Purchase new furniture. Go on vacation. Visit those museums. Promote alternative energies and help medical professionals understand how new drugs work. 15 letter words are no match for him.

Today, from his PROFESSIONAL HOME STUDIO built in the oak studded foothills of northern California, Larry continues to be a voice over talent for clients world wide.
